Piscataqua Hounds Fall Hunter Pace

Come join the fun at our annual P.H. Fall hunter pace! Pick one of 3 divisions: Field (Fast), Hilltop (Moderate) or Non-Competitive (Just have fun). Field and Hilltop Divisions will be awarded and accumulate points for year-end awards. Depart times will be between 9AM and 11:30 AM. Course directions will be given to participants. " Stirrup cup, snack & light lunch provided, pot-luck donations appreciated. "
Don't forget to bring sunscreen, repellent, water, etc. Horseback riders may gap or jump fences; but, you must wear hard-soled shoes (boots) with heels and a hard hat with a harness whenever you are mounted.
Directions: 477 Bauneg Beg Hill Road at the corner of Linscott Road, N. Berwick, ME 03906 From Rte. 95 north: Exit at Wells to Rte. 109 west to Sanford, ME. Go through Sanford to intersection of Rtes. 109 and 202. Turn left on Rte. 202 west and go 2.4 miles uphill, at the crest turn left onto Bauneg Beg Road. Go to 4-way stop, then straight through and bear left at fork. Go 1.6 miles to large, white barn at the corner of Linscott and Bauneg Beg Hill Rd. Look for signs for parking. From Rte. 95 south: Exit at Biddeford, ME and Rte. 111 west to Rte. 202 west (stay straight on road) to Sanford. From light at Routes 109 and 202 (stay on Rte. 202) go 2.4 miles * See directions above. From NH Rte. 16 north: North toward Sanford, ME and take exit to Rte. 202 east. Stay on Rte. 202 east to East Lebanon, ME. At the traffic light at Little River Road continue on Rte. 202. Go 3.2 miles and after Sanford Butcher Shop turn right onto Mt. Hope Road (small road). Go a short distance, turn right onto Bauneg Beg Road. Bear left at the fork, go 1.6 miles to large white barn on the corner of Linscaott and Bauneg Beg Hill Road. Look for parking signs. "Enjoy a whole new tract of land we are opening up this season! " " It's wonderful, varied landscape with even an esker to ride on. " All jumps are gapable. The stirrup cup is a nice break with refreshments. The goal is to simulate the paces you would be riding to hounds. All gaits are included, plus there are always checks for the foxhounds. Berwick, ME, on September 17, 2011, for myself, my heirs, guardians, and legal representatives, I release and agree not to make or bring claim of any kind against Houston Horse Farm, the Piscataqua Hounds, or its masters, officers, directors, members, employees, or guests, or any landowners,. Landholders, or other persons making property available for this fundraiser, for any injury (including death), to me or any damage to my property whether from anyone's negligence or not, or any other cause, arising out of my participation in these activities; and I also agree that if anyone makes any claims because of any injury to me (including death), or for any damage to my property, I will keep all those released by this agreement free of any damages or costs because of those claims. Horseback riding is inherently dangerous and may incur damage to the rider or people on the ground and I accept full responsibility for any damages incurred, including death.
